Apres Allstars - who is behind it?
This is us: Tobi and Michi - product developers, graphic designers, professional après-skiers and long-time friends
Who knew?: The Apres-Allstars shot glasses with binding are the result of a crazy idea!
But it wasn't actually just one idea: We spent many evenings in our shared alpine hut sketching, designing, and finally printing the first prototypes on their 3D printer. These were then tested diligently for robustness and durability. A few months later, with a store full of ski boot shot glasses and the 17th version of a matching binding (made by injection moulding), Apres Allstars went from being just a fun project to a real, kick-aßß company.
After a lot of testing, we started small: A simple webshop & we packed and shipped everything from home. At this point, we would like to give a shout out and a big thank you to our partners and roommates for their help and patience. After all, some 10,000 shot glasses plus bindings were standing around in our shared hallways.
What we weren't expecting was you - all of our amazing customers. So we gracefully had to learn to think bigger fairly quickly!
We are now working with the Caritas Wendelstein workshop in Rosenheim, who support us with both assembly and shipping. The Caritas workshops do a great job and by working with them we are able to support social issues with our product.
We have lots of fun projects planned for the future and we'd love to hear your opinions and ideas.
So we created a short survey:
