The best après-ski huts and locations - our ranking
The first après-ski parties took place at the beginning of the 20th century as part of the Winter Olympics in France. Since then, a real trend has developed around social celebrations after skiing.
But which places offer the most winter fun? Here we present you the most beautiful ski areas as well as our ranking of the best après-ski huts.
Fantastic ski areas for an unforgettable winter holiday
Saalbach is undoubtedly one of the most culturally rich ski areas in Europe. The so-called Skicircus has been delighting winter sports enthusiasts since 1900. Important events take place here regularly.
The highlight to this day is the hosting of the 31st Alpine World Ski Championships in 1991 on one of the slopes on the northern side of the Glemmtal.
The Skicircus includes 69 lifts and runs of all levels of difficulty with a total length of 270 kilometers. Furthermore, all slopes are equipped with the possibility of artificial snowmaking, so that you don't have to miss out on a long ski trip even when there is little snowfall.
If you like something a little more idyllic, you should spend your winter holiday in tranquil Willingen and, if you wish, you can rent a cozy après-ski hut. On the site you will find 16 lifts for slopes with a total length of 16 kilometers.
This makes the romantic ski area one of the smaller representatives of its genre. However, you shouldn't let this fool you. In a cozy hut atmosphere you can experience unforgettable après-ski parties after a long descent.
A diverse winter sports experience awaits you in the Austrian Tyrol. Ischgl is one of the most famous ski areas in the world. In the Tyrolean ski area you also have the opportunity to admire the breathtaking landscape on a stretch of almost 27 kilometers on cross-country ski trails. The winter adventure is rounded off with delicious meals and extensive après-ski parties in one of the numerous mountain huts.
