Twelve people have said yes for Saturday, and the third separate item is already in your basket – Shotski, glasses, corks, and something is bound to be missing. It's simpler to get your apres ski party supplies as one ready-made set: the Starter for four people, the Hausparty (house party) for six to twelve, Go Big for twelve to twenty. Except that with exactly twelve people you're right on the line, and then everything comes down to one question: should everyone go at once, or take turns?

What is an apres ski party set?
An apres ski party set is a ready-made package of Shotski, ice luge, ski boot shot glasses and corks, matched to the size of your group. At Apres Allstars it's called the Party Bundle and it comes in three sizes: Starter, Hausparty and Go Big.

We don't have just one bundle – we cover four options here, and with every one of them you pay less than for the same items bought separately.
- Party Bundle (Starter, Hausparty, Go Big): our ready-made recommendation for anyone who doesn't want to spend ages comparing, or who's looking for a gift for a whole group. It contains the big party products – Shotski, ice luge, ski boot shot glasses and corks. Mini skis aren't included.
- FICKEN Party Bundle: FICKEN alcohol-free with four mini skis – the thing to bring along to a stag or hen do or a night at the chalet where drivers and non-drinkers join in too, and the only ready-made bundle with mini skis to wear.

Which apres ski party set for how many people? The short answer
For four people, get the Starter set (M); for six to twelve, the Hausparty (L); for twelve to twenty, Go Big (XL). What matters isn't just how many people are coming, but how many should be standing at the Shotski at the same time.

The borderline cases: With five people, take the Starter plus an extension set with bindings and glasses, which gives you six spots – or go straight for the Hausparty. With exactly twelve, the Hausparty is enough if you do it in two rounds; Go Big is worth it if everyone should go at once or you're playing team against team. Between 21 and about 50 guests, Go Big works as a station where everyone takes turns. If everyone should keep their own glass, add more glasses with bindings. From around fifty guests, even the smallest Event-Bundle pays off: it has sixty glasses, so there's a reserve for latecomers.
What's in Starter, Hausparty and Go Big
All three sets contain a Shotski, an ice luge and ski boot shot glasses with corks. They differ in the number of spots on the ski and the number of glasses.
Starter (M): for four people
The Starter set is designed for a group of four – the ski trip crew sharing a flat, two couples, the chalet crowd next door. It includes the Shotski SwigSki3000® with four spots, four ski boot shot glasses with bindings and corks, and the Shot Slope Slalom ice luge. There are lanyards in the box too: everyone hangs their ski module and glass around their neck, and between rounds the Shotski turns into four pendants.
Hausparty (L): the house party set-up for six to twelve people
The Hausparty is made for the night the living room fills up. The Shotski comes with two extensions, so six people can go at once; the row then measures around one and a half metres. You also get twelve ski boot shot glasses with corks: if there are six of you, six sit on the ski and six are washed and ready. If there are twelve of you, everyone has their own. The ice luge is included here too.
Go Big (XL): for twelve to twenty people
Go Big doubles the Shotski and the ice luge: two Shotskis with six spots each, two ice luges and twenty glasses – twelve on the skis, eight in reserve. Two groups of six can go at the same time, and with two ice luges nobody queues. The set suits a ski club night, a big birthday party or a chalet where the whole group is staying over.
Whatever the size: we designed the ski boot shape of the glasses ourselves, and they're made by our partner in Austria. The bindings, made of break-resistant plastic, come from the Chiemgau, and the sets are assembled by hand at Lebenshilfe Berchtesgadener Land (Werkstätten Piding) and Caritas Wendelstein, workshops employing people with disabilities.
All at once or taking turns: two ways to count
Count the spots if everyone should go at once, and the glasses if everyone keeps their own. For the Shotski moment that's four spots in the Starter, six in the Hausparty and two times six with Go Big; whoever isn't up waits for the next round.
For the glasses, the sets work with spare glasses: Hausparty and Go Big have more glasses than spots, so one round sits on the ski while the next glasses are washed and ready. At the upper limit – twelve and twenty guests respectively – everyone then has exactly one glass of their own. If you have more guests, wash in between or add more glasses. What's not in the set – and what else you need
Drinks, a bit of space and a screwdriver aren't part of the set – and neither are mini skis.
- Drinks: What goes in the glasses is up to you. Non-alcoholic works at the Shotski too – in a ski boot glass, sparkling apple juice looks just as much like a night at the chalet.
- Freezer space: The ice luge is a silicone mould that you fill with water and freeze for around eight hours, ideally overnight. Clear a drawer for it – two for Go Big.
- Surface space: A Shotski with six spots is around one and a half metres long. A free stretch of table or counter is enough; to toast, everyone lifts it together.
- A small screwdriver: The bindings don't come pre-assembled. You screw them on with a small Phillips screwdriver; the screws are included. Allow a few minutes for this before the doorbell first rings.
- Mini skis to wear: If you want them as well, get the shot glass necklace bundle or the FICKEN Party Bundle.
How the evening runs with the set
The ice luge opens the evening: whoever arrives gets their first round down the luge, with or without alcohol. By the second guest at the latest, the ice is broken. Later comes the Shotski moment: one person counts in, everyone tips it back at the same time, and usually someone is filming it on their phone. It's worth it mainly in three cases: if you already own glasses or a Shotski and only want to add to them, if you're after a different combination from the ready-made sets, or if you want the bindings to match your decorations, because the colour is fixed in the party sets.
Scaling up later
Every set grows with you: the Starter later becomes a Hausparty set-up when you extend the Shotski and add more glasses – the SwigSki3000® is modular, each module holds one spot, and four modules make exactly one metre. We don't recommend more than eight modules: beyond that, the ski needs its own table and the group needs a conductor. More than twenty guests: station or Event-Bundle
From around twenty guests there are two ways to go. Either the Shotski becomes a station where guests take turns, or every guest gets their own glass to keep. For the second option there's the Event-Bundle for weddings, club dos and big apres ski parties: mainly ski boot shot glasses with bindings, in packs of 60, 120 or 180 glasses. Yes. You extend the Shotski with extension sets in steps of two, to six or eight spots – we don't recommend more than eight. Glasses with bindings can be bought separately at any time.
