What is an apres ski set?
An apres ski set is the basic kit for toasting in a small group: shot glasses shaped like ski boots and a holder that carries them – fixed, on a lanyard, in the gondola or on a ski. Our big all-in package with an ice luge is what we call the Party Set.

Apres ski set for four: the short answer
If you mostly sit at a table, go for the glass set with bindings; if you're on the move between lift, mountain hut and bar, the necklace bundle – with the party gondola if you also sit for long stretches. If you want the shared moment, take the Shotski.

Option 1: the glass set in a fixed spot
With the set of 4 ski boot shot glasses with bindings, every glass gets its own fixed spot. The binding turns any board into a glass holder: you screw it onto a board, onto the wall of the chalet bar or onto an old ski – two drill holes, screws included. The glass clicks in and stays where it belongs; lanyards for wearing it round your neck are also included in the set. Go for the multicoloured version and each glass sits in a binding of a different colour, so everyone finds their own again; there's also black, white, glow in the dark and arctic flame. What you're holding isn't a throwaway gadget: the ski boot shape is our own design, cast by a glass partner in Austria, the binding comes from the Chiemgau region, and your set is assembled by hand at Lebenshilfe Berchtesgadener Land (Werkstätten Piding) and Caritas Wendelstein.
Option 2: everyone carries their own glass
With the necklace bundle, the glass sits in a binding on a small wooden ski, and the eyelet on the binding comes pre-fitted: hook in the lanyard, put it round your neck, done – lanyards are also available separately if you need them. That way everyone has their glass on them, at a standing party or on a ski hen or stag do, where there's no table in sight between two stops. After the round, the glass goes back round your neck instead of onto some windowsill. You can also wear the glass set round your neck – lanyards are included with it. Option 3: necklace bundle plus party gondola
The party gondola is the parking spot for the four mini skis from the necklace bundle: a small wooden cable car cabin with a floor you slot the skis into, glass and binding included. On its own, the gondola isn't a drinking set but the add-on for long sessions at the table. On the table it becomes an eye-catcher, and before each round everyone takes out their mini ski – whoever gets up hangs it round their neck. Option 4: one ski for everyone

Most groups of four combine two setups – one for the table, one for on the move or for the big moment.

In your luggage: packing for the ski trip
All four setups fit into a normal suitcase. Taken apart, the Shotski is a stack of four 30-centimetre modules and weighs around one kilo – so it fits in the car and even in your hand luggage. The only ski that's allowed in hand luggage. Wrap the glasses in a jumper or ski socks; a cork keeps them clean on the way, and later lets you wear them round your neck while they're filled. The bindings, made of shatter-resistant, flexible plastic, handle the journey without any trouble.
When four becomes six
Only the Shotski can be extended modularly: with an extension set, six people drink at the same time, and we don't recommend more than eight places. With the glass set, you simply add glasses and bindings individually. For wearing round the neck, get a second necklace bundle, because the mini skis only come in packs of four.
