A set always sounds like a bargain – until you realise half of it is already sitting in your cupboard. So whether you go for a set or individual pieces depends less on the price than on what you already own. Three questions tell you whether a set, buying individually or your own bundle is right for you.

What's the difference between a set and buying individually?
A set bundles several products that are made to go together at one set price – at Apres Allstars, for example, the Party Bundle or the shot glass necklace bundle. When you buy individually, you pick every piece yourself and pay the individual price. In between sits BUILD YOUR OWN: you choose four products yourself and still get a bundle discount.

Set or individual? Three questions and you'll know
If you have nothing yet, get a set; if you already have some pieces, buy individually; if your group falls between two sizes, build your own. These three questions sort you out:
- What do you already have? If you already own glasses with bindings, you don't need a set with more glasses in it. Buy exactly what's missing.
- How many of you are there? The ready-made Party Sets are staggered by group size. If your group fits one exactly, the set is the easiest choice. If it doesn't, BUILD YOUR OWN is more flexible.
- Is it a gift? Then a lot speaks for a ready-made set: everything fits together, and the person you give it to can get going straight away.
When a ready-made set wins
A ready-made set wins when you're starting from scratch or giving a gift. The Party Bundle is a complete shot ski set: a Shotski, an ice luge and ski boot shot glasses with corks, in three sizes – and compared with the individual prices you save roughly ten to twenty per cent depending on the size (as of September 2026). For a single gift, the smaller sets are the right size. When buying individually wins
Buying individually pays off whenever a set contains things you already have. Two typical cases:
- You already own glasses with bindings. Then the Shotski without bindings and glasses is all you need: you screw your existing bindings onto the modules, and the glasses click in. When that works out cheaper is explained in our guide Shotski & shot ski.
- More people turn up than expected. For one to three extra guests, get a spare glass and a binding individually; for four, the set of four glasses with bindings – you don't need a second Party Bundle for that.
BUILD YOUR OWN: when no ready-made set fits
With BUILD YOUR OWN you choose four products yourself, and you automatically get 15 per cent off the whole bundle. Unlike the Party Bundles, it also lets you choose the binding colour. The catch is in the number: if you're only missing two or three pieces, buy them individually. Once four products come together, the bundle builder deducts the 15 per cent automatically. Bundle or individual: how to do the maths
A set only saves you money if you need everything in it. Compare the set price with the pieces you're actually missing – a set with four glasses is no bargain if your cupboard is already full of them. If, on the other hand, you need every piece, the ready-made set is cheaper, because the set price is lower than the total of the individual prices.
An example: if you already have four glasses with bindings, you'd really only need the Shotski and the ice luge from the Starter set. Buy the whole set anyway and you pay for the glasses a second time. You're better off with the Shotski without bindings and glasses plus the ice luge individually – or with BUILD YOUR OWN, if four products come together anyway.
Then there's shipping: it's charged per order, and not at all above your country's free-shipping threshold. Order in two goes and you may end up paying it twice. And what does the price stand for? Pieces that last longer than one season: a glass shape we developed ourselves and have made in Austria, bindings made from flexible, break-resistant plastic from the Chiemgau region – and the sets are made by hand at Caritas Wendelstein and the Pidinger Werkstätten der Lebenshilfe. If a glass does break, you replace just that one.
What you can always buy separately
Anything that breaks or goes missing is available individually – you never need to buy a whole set for it.
- Spare glass: for when a ski boot shot glass didn't survive the party.
- Binding: in lots of colours, and also for screwing onto a board, a wall or an old ski.
- Lanyard: the strap for wearing it round your neck.
- Extension set for the Shotski: in steps of two, up to six or eight spots.
- Cork: keeps the glass sealed on the go.

Three examples
The chalet crew starting from zero
Four friends, a rented chalet, nothing in the cupboard. Here the Party Bundle as Starter is the shortest route: everything fits together, and whoever's driving gets alcohol-free punch in their ski boot glass. If the crew grows next winter, add an extension set for the Shotski.
Five people and a favourite colour
Five people, and the bindings have to match the neon green decorations. No ready-made set covers both – in the BUILD YOUR OWN bundle builder you put the pieces together yourself and pick the colour.
One glass is broken
